Rochester Tap Room in Rochester

One of my favorite places to go. Very wide beer selection and good specialty drinks. The pizza is great and not too much food. Atmosphere is cosey and not drafty in the winter months. In the summer they often have live music on the rooftop.

Awsome menu and huge selection of beers on tap. Friendly staff made great recommendations based on my preferences, and nailed it. The staff knows the menu deeply and is able to make these great suggestions. Casual place and outdoor tables are great with the warm weather. Highly recommend

This is for Taphouse West End. If you're going here, go for the beer. They have a great selection of good beer. However, the food was very subpar. The cheese for the chips and queso appetizer tasted like it came from a can at the grocery store. We had fish tacos, shrimp tacos, kids mac and cheese and Asian chicken salad. All of it was just ok. I was VERY displeased with the fact that there was absolutely no place to change the baby's diaper. That's fine if you don't want children and families at your establishment but you need to then be open about it and let customers know. We called for a reservation and mentioned we needed a high chair for a baby. No mention of them not having a changing station. Do they expect customers to change their children on the floor? On an open table? I won't be going back.

Service favorite big tables, had to wait a long time to get acknowledged. Waitress talked to us once than never came back. Never got silverware or napkins. Asked 3 times for a to go box and was walked right by. Joke of an establishment

Tap house West End, beers and flights were very good- go there for drinks only. Nice decor but very slow service and terrible food. Nachos were greasy and hardly any toppings- almost a joke. Buffalo chicken mac and cheese tasted like Kraft, waxy and inedible. Server never came back to check on us, we could hardly get our bill and when she came she never asked why all of our food was still on our plates. What a disappoint.

I love the local and nationwide selection of beer and cider at the tap house, and their selection changes seasonally. There are plenty of large areas to sit with friends both downstairs and upstairs. The upstairs has indoor and outdoor seating areas, and the upper outdoor sitting area is beautiful in the summer. It's one of my favorite places to visit in Rochester. Highly recommend!

The shrimp tacos are amazing!! Staff was really helpful for food allergies. Would recommend investing in an allergen menu.

Nice environment overall, did come on a sunday night so not very busy. Drinks were good queso was not the best. The homemade chips were decent.

We had a great young lady as a server. Will definitely be back.

Been sitting right here for coming on 52 min before the server finally came back and asked if we were ready to order.. The group next to us came in at least 20 min after us and is currently eating. Food done, chowing down and all. We are starving! So sitting here at least 15 min (and counting) with our bill and waiting for him to collect it and head to SMOAK BBQ that is right next door so we can finally get some great service and get some supper!! Never again!

Walked in to get food and drinks tonight and the man who greeted us at the front door spit at us to put our masks on instead of politely reminding us, then continued to ignore us once we sat down waiting to order drinks. Service left a bad taste in my mouth, we walked out.

Outdoor ground level seating along with a second level that has indoor and outdoor seating. The upstairs patio area has a fireplace and a group seating area. Regular trivia night and there's usually a musician or small ensemble outdoors upstairs. Big food and drink menue. Midwestern American bar fare.

The Tap House is a great bar/restaurant! The cream cheese mushroom burger is the best burger I have had in my life. It was juicy and creamy and decadent. The bartenders up on the roof are so nice and willing to experiment with new drinks. When asked for extra avocado on the nachos, they really delivered. Will definitely go again!

Recently attending a birthday here and we all had a great time. They are accommodating to those who do not drink alcohol, and the Arnie's were good. We all had a good laugh when I was asked for my ID when ordering an Arnold Palmer. Great location too.

Super fun and classic atmosphere with excellent menu options. The food is incredible and the tap selection is so broad that you probably won't try at all unless you live next door. The Skeleton Crew did an excellent job despite having a private event in the side room. I ended up waiting quite a while for my bill and tipped accordingly. But nevermind that, I would highly recommend the Tap House on historic 3rd Street!!

Good choice of beers. The Buffalo Cauliflower was delish! Service was a little slow.

Great place, if you’re contemplating coming here... do it. Massive beer selection and flights are good prices. I highly recommend the cheese curds, I agree with all other reviews, they are epic. I got the buffalo cheese curds. It’s awesome. Trust.

50 beers on tap 😋 We had steak nachos and they were great and plenty for two to share. Real grated cheese not that melted cheese sauce and yummy house made chips. Highly recommend!

Salsa was nasty, chicken sandwiches were from frozen isle and the price was way out of line. GKepp the lime scooters off the sidewalk (put up a wall)

I stopped here for lunch with my 1-year old daughter. While they don't have high chairs, their patio has ample space for a small stroller, so it worked out for us. By far the best burger I've had in Rochester, and the server was very nice. We will definitely be back!

We were in town for a wedding and stayed at the hotel across the street. We ended up at this bar three times throughout the day while we had breaks for the festivities! Super fun staff and adorable rooftop patio. Not sure how accommodating this place would be in the winter, but definitely great in the warmer months!

The Tap House is the epitome of "Craft Beer" for Rochester, MN. They create such a vibrant environment from their staff's excellent service, to the vibe of the inside, the outside rooftop patios, and of course the 50 Craft Beers on Tap and expansive food menu! Word on the street is the Tap House West End will have 100 Craft Beers on Tap... Yes.. 100!! Love the Tap House and all they have to offer. Definitely my favorite place to get out and enjoy a beer or some live music with friends!

Get the peanut butter and jealousy burger. I know it sounds weird but oh my gosh it is so good!

Beer is amazing as well as the food. When an out of town girl came in and talked to me the staff automatically assumed I was trying to pick her up. I could list the quote word for word from a bartender but request to remain anonymous She simply started a conversation and we talked with no intentions of seeing each other. Before I had been accused of not paying my bill when asking to use the restroom. Now I had been asked to move over for a couple to sit when I had already had a tab and requested a last beer for taste. I've been a customer and spent at minimal $100 each night. I've enjoyed your food and never inquired upon any women nor asked for any numbers. I've been respectful and requested to be treated the same. This last instance was the last straw. I will not be subjected to stereotypes of men nor my race. You will no longer have my business. Thank you.

Great location. They have a variety of beers on tap and are always friendly. They have two roof locations if you want to dine/drink outside without being on the side-walk. Their beer menu is vast, but their food menu is a bit small. Most of their food is traditional "Bar and Grille" food but I have never had a bad meal here. I would rather they stick to drinks then try to do anything more fancy with their food.

It's style and appeal was unlike anything I've experienced downtown and I've lived in Rochester my whole life. Which was only complemented by it's amazing wait staff excellent menu and owner who I'll have to be honest with you is very easy on the eyes. And from the two min interaction I had with her really exemplifies what we should stand for. I find myself wanting to go back again and again and even wanting to add art for to their walls

Food was good and waitress was friendly but I'm pretty sure she forgot to put my order in or cook forgot to make it. My friend got her burger way before I got my quesadillas. They also offered live music which was cool.

Taphouse is conveniently located in downtown Rochester close to Mayo & other locations making it an easy stops for visitors.Their beer selection is thorough & adventurous. I particularly enjoyed the New Holland's Dragon's Milk. A hearty, satisfying dark beer.I've tried the herb & garlic cream cheese burger & tots which made this sick gal visiting Mayo happy. I'm not sure how they get their tots to crispy perfection, but they do.Sunday nights they have trivia starting at 7pm which was enjoyable. I had a comfy 4 top booth to myself & felt guilty since the place was full & offered to move if my server wished but she assured me I was fine.This will be a return stop for me for at least another night to work through their beer menu ... and tots. Duh!

The Tap House has a great selection of beers. The cheese curds are the best in town. It has a fun atmosphere and a lovely patio that overlooks the historic 3rd street. Friendly staff and clean interior make this a great place for after-work drinks or a casual date night.

Great food and lots of great drink options. The environment and service is excellent. Highly recommended for a get together with friends.

Slow service. Arrived at 5:25 and ordered app and two meals. Finally left at 7:00 pm. Waitress was friendly but serving 9+ tables on patio resulted in frustrating experience. Burger was bland. Definitely not worth the $15 plus $2 for tots. Doubt we’ll be back. Nothing special, combined with overpriced rather boring food leaves us with many better options in the city.

The taphouse puts on a big fall and spring party every year and I really enjoy it

Bartenders are always awesome. Drinks are good. Food is only ok to be honest. But the rooftop in good weather is perfect. And having 2 levels and 2 bars means twice the fun!

Do not visit if you're planning to go out downtown after your wedding with your friends and family. We had all around terrible service and one of the bartenders actually instigated a verbal altercation with a member of our wedding party. Staff was visibly perturbed by our presence so we were forced to apologize to our friends and guests for the service, and we ended up needing to visit other bars downtown.

Even though they had a limited menu. The outside seating was awesome and a diverse types drinks.

Hey, remember the guy at the end of the bar telling everyone he was a Google reviewer in hopes he would get some special treatment? Well, well, well...guess who's not a liar. My cred as a Google reviewer didn't get me much, in fact, I think I got me less. The people next to me sure got a lot more personal attention from the bartender than I did. Perhaps it was because they were nice looking 20-something year olds drinking high brow cocktails and leaving generous tips versus a bearded middle aged pudgy guy drinking waters all evening while his buddy got tanked. All-in-all, we had a great time at The Tap House. So much so that we started our night here and found our way back at the end of the evening. I won't knock any stars off this time for not recognizing my Google cred, but next time I expect the VIP I so deserve.
